Harry Potter wants to ban in Russia

Today a request came to the Ministry of Culture to block “Harry Potter” in Russia. The authors of the request were the organization “Forty Forty”. They believe that the family novel and the movie tells the story of magic and wizards – this is not good, because they promote witchcraft and Satanism.

The main concern and indignation of the activists was more about musicals, rather than movies or books based on the Harry Potter series that are taking place in RF.

The main characters in the novels are not human, but wizards, witches and wizards, and the ordinary people around are either scoundrels or half-wits and, in any case, creatures of a lower order. – quote from the letter of the Forty Forty.

The authors of the request note that such cultural and leisure events are outside the jurisdiction of the department. And they ask to increase the authority of the Ministry of Culture to control such events.
