The third-person game Catwoman, featuring the character of Catwoman in the beat’em up genre, was released by developer Electronic Arts back in 2004. According to the comic book storyline, the quiet scientist Patience Phillips, who works at a research institute, kills an evil scientist when she discovers the institution’s forbidden activities. The goddess of Ancient Egypt resurrects Patience and transforms her into Catwoman with superhuman abilities, so she can seek revenge.
Based on the storyline of the comic book of the same name, the game is filled with acrobatic maneuvers even more impressive than Lara Croft’s, as well as elements of hand-to-hand combat. The game includes a dozen levels divided into rooms. In each room, the player will need to complete their mission, such as killing an enemy, solving a puzzle, or reaching a target.
Catwoman wields claws and a whip, performing spinning attacks that scatter enemies in fear. Catwoman earns additional points for destroying environmental objects with the bodies of her flying enemies.
