Total War has come a long way in its development – historical strategy games, the Warhammer universe, and many other projects. Gamers even witnessed the developers’ attempts to launch the free-to-play project Arena, but it had to be shut down as it was not properly appreciated.
Currently, Creative Assembly, along with improving the main parts of the series, has started a new masterpiece – creating collectible card games. And it makes sense, as the concept of card battles fits perfectly with the nature of Total War.
So, in Total War: Elysium, gamers will have to choose a commander: the options are practically unlimited, from famous Vikings to Napoleon. And once the character is chosen, one can confidently engage in serious battles, victory in which will bring undeniable glory and help conquer immortality in the city of Elysium.
The mobile version will include certain features taken from the original. Commanders will participate in battles, and the battlefields themselves will be divided into specific zones. Interestingly, day and night will have different effects on the abilities of units. The developer states that reinforcements can always be called upon if necessary.
Regardless, Creative Assembly’s idea deserves respect and attention. It remains interesting to see what will happen in the future. Whether the developer will succeed or not, time will tell. But at the moment, beta testing reviews are mixed, which raises certain doubts..
