The main difficulty (as it is commonly perceived) lies in the survival mechanics, which received the most complaints from players. It was the survival elements that caused tears and complaints immediately after the game’s release on the internet. To make the task easier, the developers released a special patch. It significantly simplifies the gameplay and allows for adjusting the difficulty levels. But it is this patch that leads to the loss of the value of hardcore gameplay.
We haven’t made a final decision on whether to recommend it or not. Pathologic 2 is created “for a certain category of gamers”, it is just too unique.
