Speedrunners

Speedrunners is a multiplayer racing game in the side-scrolling style, which was initially a browser game and later re-released on PC in 2016, as well as on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles. In 2015, Speedrunners was even recognized as an esports discipline.

In the game, players take on the role of superheroes participating in races where they must outpace their opponents in speed and agility on their way to the scene of a crime. They use hooks, interactive environmental elements, bombs, rockets, spikes, and anything else that can eliminate their opponents. When the leading runner surpasses the last runner by one screen, the last runner is eliminated. Since four characters participate in the race, one must win three times to be victorious.

By earning experience points, players can unlock new levels, over 50 new characters, and receive bonuses. Players have access to 9 unique maps and a level editor. Speedrunners can be played both in single-player and multiplayer mode.
