The game is not purely island survival, but it features a lot of islands. The player will visit islands briefly and swiftly, as the main base is a raft on which they will travel on an endlessly generated map.
Just imagine: the character wakes up on the ocean waves, with only a few crudely nailed boards beneath them. They don’t know who they are or how they ended up here. Their only helper is a plastic hook. They need to drink, eat, hide from the sun and salty water. These necessities are what drive the traveler.
You will have to gather floating debris, find crafting materials, and catch Prey. It’s best to start with fish and building a shelter. Over time, you can expand the raft and even equip it with a motor.
From this point on, the raft stops drifting and becomes a controlled house on the water. Naturally, this opens up new possibilities – exploring reefs, gathering resources on islands, and feasting on the treasures of the land. Some islands are objects of civilization, laboratories, military bunkers. Naturally, they are very dangerous and scary. Dying in the game is quite easy, as you will constantly be accompanied by sharks, natural elements, and unfriendly individuals. And it only gets worse from there.
Engaging in diving, finding underwater colonies, and transforming the raft-house into a city. If you take the game seriously and invite friends, you can settle in Raft, just like some gamers have done, judging by their reviews and the game’s popularity.
