Sebastian Castellanos is a broken man. The mind-boggling events of the previous installment shattered his sanity. He blames himself for not saving his daughter, Lily, during the house fire, which led to his wife leaving him. He was fired from the police force and now spends his time in seedy bars, seeking solace in alcohol.
When his former colleague, Juli Kidman, informs Sebastian that Lily is still alive and can be saved, he decides to embark on a true hellish Journey. He enters a virtual city filled with ghosts called Stem in order to rescue her.
The player can freely roam the vast map, killing monsters or hiding from them. By collecting resources, they can craft items, ammunition, and weapons. They can also upgrade the hero’s skills such as health, stealth, attack, recovery, and strength.
Throughout the game, the user learns details about what happened in this world. The story unfolds through high-quality video clips with dialogues. In addition to Sebastian, there are other characters in the game who are part of the plot. To progress, the player must find and rescue Lily.
