The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Lost prophecies speak of the reincarnation of the Dunmer hero Nerevar, who has arrived in Morrowind to rid the country of a dark curse. To fulfill this prophecy, the Emperor sends a courier to the island of Vvardenfell. Through a series of dangerous and magical quests, the unknown envoy becomes one of the Empire’s greatest heroes.

Each mission becomes available upon the user joining a gaming organization. Quests can be completed in a fairly free order (availability is limited by the hero’s level). Most factions have enough quests to earn the title of leader, which is the final stage of completing almost all storylines (except for vampire clan quests).

Missions are usually short and not related to other secondary tasks, but the main quest references the secondary ones. The player is rewarded for completing them. Rewards can include items, money, skill increases, etc. At the start of the game, the user can choose one of 10 races — humans (peoples), measures, beasts, creatures.

I don’t think there are people in the world who are unfamiliar with The Elder Scrolls series. Many know this series thanks to Skyrim, but The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind is also a very interesting project deserving separate praise. Experienced players consider Morrowind to be the best game in the series, but it’s really a matter of taste. The possibilities of the game can be talked about for hours, and its mechanics still surprise even in 2021.

The amount of detail in the game is simply indescribable. The player has complete freedom of action. You can have a great time in the game. There is a wide variety of weapons, from one-handed swords to staves with spells. A decent number of quest characters, sometimes it even seems impossible to finish the game. Character leveling is an incredibly engaging activity, you can spend a long time thinking about which ability to learn in order to effectively defeat enemies. It is a very atmospheric and interesting game with gameplay that will last for dozens of hours in real time.
