The game is played from the perspective of a vampire, and the player must choose a clan that determines their character’s abilities. They will also need to complete story missions or take on various side quests.
In the “World of Darkness,” in addition to humans and vampires, there are werewolves and a large number of fantastical creatures. The game’s plot is based on the investigation of the emergence of the “Ankhara Sarcophagus.” Because of this, the main character gets involved in a conspiracy involving several organizations that want to obtain this artifact.
Urban fantasy is characterized by its dark world, corrupt politicians, local conflicts, brutal serial killings, and a large amount of organized crime. All vampires here are divided into 13 clans. Each clan has its own strengths and weaknesses, culture, and history. In turn, these clans form their own organizations that are at odds with each other.
The central theme of the game is the personal conflict of the vampire with their inner beast, which awakens during the transformation. The World of Darkness has a very interesting mythology, and the developers have incorporated several of its main aspects into the game. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines features a wide variety of characters, each with their own unique traits that set them apart from others.
