Announcement of Transformers: Reactivate

The news that Splash Damage is developing a Transformers game has been confirmed. The game, subtitled Reactivate, tells the story of an Earth invaded by aliens known as the Legion and humans forced to fight for their survival with the help of Autobots assembled from individual parts.

Reactivate, developed by Splash Damage, will be an online action game that can be played alone or in a group of up to four players. In the game, players will have to control their favorite characters, who are able to instantly turn from a bot to a car and back.

Splash Damage Studio will provide development and publishing action Reactivate. The game will also be produced by Bulkhead, which Splash Damage recently acquired. Bulkhead previously released the multiplayer shooter Battalion 1944 and the puzzle game The Turing Test. Together, both companies employ more than 500 people and continue to grow.

Transformers: Reactivate will be available on PC and select consoles. The planned closed beta testing of the game will take place in the winter of 2023.

This Transformers game is one of several original projects that Splash Damage and Bulkhead are working on. So far, nothing is known about their other projects.
