The 5th season of Warzone has brought a lot of new features: game mechanics, executioner factions, new weapons, and more. Let’s take a look at the most “powerful” updates.
Group “Shadow” — New Faction
The private military campaign “Shadow” is now operating without any truce agreements in Verdansk. The Squad working in this “shadow” campaign is fighting in the ongoing conflict between the Alliance and the Coalition.
Executioners: New in Season 5
“A new trio capable of changing the situation in Verdansk…”
-
Rose (we’re already familiar with her).
-
Giant — a brutal fighter.
-
Group leader Lerch (Marcus).
Lerch
Born in Plano, Texas, he previously worked as an operative in the United States Marine Corps. Known for his combat enthusiasm and fighting skills.
When the man who formed the “Shadow” campaign saw Lerch’s dossier, he knew he was the perfect candidate for the dirty work.
That’s why Lerch appeared in Verdansk—to thwart Price and all his subordinates.
Giant
Not much is known about this fighter. He wears heavy armor and constantly works on hiding his true identity.
But legends circulate about his exploits, often called exaggerated tales.
Anyone who knows Giant will never say anything bad about him, either out of fear or deep respect.
New Weapons
In Season 5, gamers will get acquainted with a couple of new “guns”—the AN-94 “Abakan” and the R700 sniper rifle. Let’s look at them in detail.
Assault Rifle AN-94 “Abakan”
This model is produced by a domestic weapons factory in Verdansk. If you remember the previous parts of Battlefield ¾ and Black Ops, you’re already familiar with the power of Abakan. The firepower is almost “deadly,” and the rate of fire is incredible.
Sniper Rifle R700
This weapon belongs to the legendary Call of Duty series. Not much is known about it yet, but there’s reason to believe the rumors are true.
Stadium Map “Verdansk Center”
Now gamers can fight on a new location—the Stadium, which previously served as a haven for campers. The developers have turned it into a full-fledged in-game location.
Now the Stadium is ready to host Coalition, Alliance, or “shadow” group specialists. According to the story, an unknown group of terrorists carried out an attack on this stadium, but now we know it was a provocation by the “Shadow” group…
Rail Transport Comes Straight to Warzone
Rail transport will now circulate around Verdansk. There’s no data yet on the loot that will be there, but it’s known that the game will become much more dynamic due to this new feature.
“Capture the Flag”—New Contract
Also from the “rumor mill,” but possibly, a new contract will be implemented in the game. No more details are available yet. It’s likely that squads will have to hold positions just like in Recon.
Season 5 Trailer (Official)
On June 3rd, the official trailer for the new Warzone season appeared online. You can get acquainted with it in more detail below (it includes everything described above, except for the contract, of course):
