How to Throw a Flash Grenade?

An excellent combination is to throw the flashbang a few seconds after throwing a smoke grenade to the same location. This way, you’ll completely disable enemies for about 20 seconds, which is quite a long time. You can also follow up with a fragmentation grenade after using the Flash Grenade. The advantages of these tactics are that in the smoke or during the flashbang’s effect, enemies won’t see or hear when another grenade lands, so they won’t know which way to run.

A nuance to consider is that in “Standoff 2,” grenades always fly above the crosshair. So, you need to get used to and correctly aim your camera upward before throwing.

Additionally, the Flash Grenade will be very effective in small, narrow spaces. You’ll have a higher chance of hitting the enemy and eliminating them without any issues. A key piece of advice for using not only flashbangs but all other grenades is to throw them from behind cover. Never throw them in an open area when there are enemies around. Even if you manage to throw a grenade, you likely won’t have time to retreat.

Grenades have one quirk: they explode much faster on the ground than in the air. So, if an enemy is hiding behind any cover, you can throw a grenade right at the ground near them. It will explode quickly, and the enemy won’t have time to escape. Also, remember that grenades may not always go exactly where you want them to. They can hit something and bounce back towards you. After throwing a Flash Grenade, it’s a good practice to constantly look back for a few seconds.

One more piece of advice. It’s better to throw flashbangs at the beginning of the round when there are two or more enemies in your direction. Don’t throw a grenade at a single enemy, as they can easily dodge it, and you’ll waste it.

If, by any chance, you didn’t have time to turn away or got blinded, try to shoot roughly in the direction from where the flashbang came and keep moving in different directions, jumping. Or if you remember where cover is, quickly move towards it. This way, you’ll have a slightly better chance of surviving.
