Is Warzone 2.0 worth playing? Review from a Player

It’s a good time to appreciate Warzone 2.0. I’ve seen people bury it before release. I didn’t play it on release day and didn’t sit in lines and suffer from pinging. But I had a good evening.

I give Warzone a 10/10, it’s the best game that could have come out and here’s why:

Map:

Al Mazra is Verdansk, in terms of gameplay the maps are the same a million passes, you can always get around, there are some junk places, but there’s no such thing as perfect.

The QB itself:

Yeah it’s the same, only now there’s less proficiency from the kits, more counters. It’s slower, but that doesn’t make it worse.

DMZ:

The mode is just crazy, I get a lot of fun, you can safely do missions and randoms. In the original WZ did not see the point of playing without teammates, solo on Caldera was tense, in Verdansk well, but he’s long gone. The loot is not that, and the island solo came late.

I’m kind of stumped:

– Certainly a different TTC, yes it feels like the start of Warzone 1 and it’s very easy to kill, but it’s also very easy to die
– All the improvements and chips that Raven added to WZ1

Melee Chat:

I’m not going to lie, I never used it because I was using hangout, but even on the channel I uploaded a bunch of funny videos.

Overall:

I think IW got it done again, too bad it took a long time to play Vanguard WZ, but it’s good now and will get better. Very reasonable thing asked about MWII, which I also really like, but frankly abandoned because of WZ2.0: “and this game has been made for 3 years?” No, I think MWII is a fun 6 on 6 (and not just an addition), but Warzone 2.0 was 3 years in the making and it feels that way.

What will change for sure:

– Bugs will be fixed.
– DMZ will come out of beta and there will be a different economy, we definitely saw the modules for the money, so I think that mode will play in different colors
– They will add modes, there will definitely be mining on Al Mazra, but I expect a mini-KB or revival in the near future. As well as all sorts of time modes like they did in the first part.
– Will add small maps, well this is somewhere around March
– Las Almas, a new large map, it will be the fall
– Weapons rebalance, yes I will be very difficult to translate it, but the modules need value. On the other hand I’m glad that +- plays well and ground loot

What I wish they would have changed:

– Perks, you can see that they added at the last moment, I think they will redo, add exclusively WZ perks, you can loot and choose your own set
– Body armor, in DMZ is a great chip, the incentive to evacuate. In KB should be removed as soon as possible.
– Verdansk. What are you talking about? You ask. It’s simple, Verdansk is destroyed. But also Verdansk is a Soviet secret, scientific, military city, which means that there can be several of them, but different. In the same Warzone Mobile regular Verdansk, but in the promo: it’s not like that, it’s similar to the card mode from COD Mobile, so there’s every chance. Plus the action of WZ Mobile will take place in parallel with WZ 2.0, which means Verdansk is already gone. But that’s my sick theory, take it as a theory.
– Backpacks in the KB, more specifically the corpse loot system, this needs to be redone somehow

Is 10/10 a brave fan rating? Maybe, but I just don’t see alternatives for myself and if I had the opportunity to play WZ2.0 now or WZ1 at the peak of that game, I would play WZ2.0.

What do you think? What do you like and what don’t you like?
