Do Modern Warzone weapons have stronger aim assist than Cold War weapons?
Content creator Tyler «TeePee» discovered the difference between the aim assist feature for weapons from Modern Warfare and Cold War.
Aim assist has always been a hot topic in Warzone, especially between controller players and mouse and keyboard users.
Call of Duty World Champion and current Twitch star TeePee noticed a whole new side to the subject of aim assist, pointing out that Modern Warfare weapon aim assist seems to be much stronger than on weapons from Black Ops Cold War.
Streamer Envy was stunned to find that the MP5 version of Modern Warfare appeared to have much stronger enemy player aim assist than the Cold War SMG.
I’m pretty sure Modern Warfare has a lot more aim assist,» he suggested. The content creator isn’t the only one who thinks so, and other pros and gamers have confirmed they’ve experienced the same, with one user commenting that he’s been «talking about this for a very long time.»
In another video, TeePee tested two sniper rifles, the Kar98k from Modern Warfare and the Pellington from Cold War, and the difference in aim assist seemed even clearer. As he dragged the scope across his target, the MW sniper seemed to slow down much more than the CW alternative.
Unsurprisingly, after TeePee shared all of these findings on social media, the community immediately reached out to Warzone JGOD, asking him to take a closer look at this apparent phenomenon. The day after the mystery surfaced, the YouTuber responded.
In his video, JGOD revealed that there are some slight differences in aiming between weapons in Warzone. However, these discrepancies are not strictly based on what game each gun is from, but on the FOV modifier of each scope and the scale of each scope in battle royale.
Many Modern Warfare guns have a different scale than Cold War weapons, so there seems to be a difference.
