Dead Dungeon

In Dead Dungeon, the Ukrainian developer Alexey Roenko has introduced a new challenge called “Welcome to Chornobaivka/Чернобаевка/Чернобаевка.” To unlock this achievement, players must meet a daunting requirement: dying 1000 times. Given that Dead Dungeon is reminiscent of Super Meat Boy, this task may not be as difficult as it seems.

To be honest, Dead Dungeon is not a new game; it was actually released back in 2018. From the very beginning, it featured the corresponding achievement, albeit under a different name – Groundhog Day / День Бабака / День сурка. Interestingly, the game still retains this name in 20 out of the 23 languages it supports. However, the developer decided to rename this achievement in honor of a charming village near Kherson, Ukraine, for the English, Ukrainian, and Russian versions.

By the way, all three games developed by Alexey Roenko can now be purchased for just 46 UAH. As they say, Welcome to Chornobaivka!
