You and your unfortunate comrades are forced to participate in a dangerous “Campaign” led by a mysterious creature named the Warden.
He constantly creates a new Directive that you must follow in order to navigate through the ruined research facility known as the Complex.
Each level of the Complex is populated by terrifying monsters, but you can use tools and resources to survive and progress. Overcome all the challenges to complete the “Campaign” and fulfill the Warden’s Directive.
Be cautious: GTFO is not your typical run-and-gun shooter, it is a game that requires maximum attention and preparation.
It is designed for a team of four players, but if you are missing someone, AI characters will take their place. They will follow you, hide, and gather resources, but they are nothing special, so if you want to play on all modes, it’s better to find real teammates.
Prepare, explore, survive
To succeed in the “Campaign,” you will need a good team strategy. Discuss with your comrades what equipment, weapons, and bonuses to use in order to be most effective in the Complex.
Assign personal roles and tasks for each team member. This will help you stay organized when (not if) things go wrong. Prepare, explore, and survive!
Instead of running around and constantly shooting, sometimes it’s wiser to be quiet and unnoticed. Many monsters that inhabit this place are asleep and conserving their energy, but any noise, light, or movement will surely awaken them.
If you are detected, all the other monsters will know. And then it will be very difficult for you. So, it’s not worth risking and wasting your energy and ammo in vain. Be cautious and be prepared for the worst.
When the Warden updates the Directive, a new “Campaign” begins and the previous one disappears forever. So be prepared for hard work and suffering as you explore new routes. It’s best to work as a team rather than going alone into the great beyond. So stick together and be honest with each other to succeed in this game.
