In this roguelike adventure game, you can expect monstrous battles. Like in the comics, the game sends Hellboy on a series of completely different and completely unique adventures; and although these stories are standalone, they are all connected to the mysterious legacy of the House of Butterflies.
Constructed in 1962 by occultist Pasquale Denevo, the “House of Butterflies” is not just a house, it is a gateway. Its twisted corners and non-Euclidean geometry were designed with one sinister purpose: to open the doors to a horrifying and exhilarating dimension called the Wyrd.
Twenty years later, a B.P.R.D. agent is sent to recon the mansion and soon goes missing. It is up to you – Hellboy – and your team of agents from the Bureau to find the missing colleague and uncover the secrets of the House of Butterflies.
During the investigation, you will explore the wondrous and bizarre planes of existence contained within the Wyrd, each inhabited by powerful monsters, forgotten forms of gods, magnificent treasures, and mighty secrets. But be cautious, for in the deepest corners of the Wyrd, ancient evil lurks… an evil that yearns to break free.
