Supercell blocks access to its games (Brawl Stars, Clash Royale and Clash of Clans) in Russia and Belarus: what should players do?

The Finnish company Supercell has decided to restrict access to its mobile games for users from Russia and Belarus. A recent update to Brawl Stars has caused this issue, which causes players to receive a message that login is not possible due to their current location when attempting to login.

Trying to use VPN services and changing geolocation does not help solve the problem. Previously, when blocking another Clash of Clans mobile game, using a VPN helped bypass the block, but in this case it does not work.

Supercell announced in March 2023 its intention to permanently block access to its games for Russian and Belarusian users. This block applies not only to Brawl Stars, but also to other popular projects, including Clash Royale and Clash of Clans, which were removed from the Google Play and App Store libraries in Russia and Belarus at the end of 2022.

What are the players to do? So far, the only way is to wait for the possible appearance of official ways to bypass the block or use proxy servers with reliability and security tested by the gaming community. In general, this situation calls into question the future availability of Supercell mobile games in Russia and Belarus.
