Call of Duty: Warzone Bans 30,000 People in a Day

The developers of the game Call of Duty: Warzone (Battle Royale) have reported that they banned 30,000 user accounts within a day for using cheats in the game (software that helped them gain an advantage over other players). PC Gamer reported this on March 16, 2021, citing Activision.

Over the course of the year 2021, Call of Duty: Warzone has banned more than 100,000 accounts for cheats. In February, developers introduced new software, EngineOwning, which led to the banning of over 30,000 accounts in just 24 hours. Unfortunately, there is no information available about the specific software that was blocked.

It is noted that players are still encountering the problem where cheaters can prematurely end a match at any moment. There are many videos on YouTube and Twitch where cheaters use prohibited software to end the match at their convenience. Players who were left alive at the time of the match ending were deprived of victory, not the cheaters. This issue has generated a significant amount of discussion on the developers’ Twitter feed.
