Evolution of the Warzone Universe

The creators of Call of Duty Warzone have ambitious plans for the game, including a sixth season and several years of support.

This situation was commented on by the founders of Infinity Ward studio, who confirmed that they intend to continue developing Call of Duty Warzone for an extended period.

Patrick Kelly and Dave Stohl provided a statement to The Washington Post, where Kelly stated that Infinity Ward is still working on and evolving the game’s storyline, which recently surpassed 100 million users.

He also mentioned that at the moment, he and Dave are finalizing details for the 6th season of Call of Duty Warzone and Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, which is set to be released at the end of 2021.

After the release of Black Ops Cold War in 2020, Infinity Ward handed over the primary development work on Warzone to the studio Raven Software. Raven’s designers had been involved in the development of Warzone alongside Infinity Ward, but by the end of 2020, Raven Software took on the responsibility for public communications related to Call of Duty Warzone.

Patrick Kelly told the newspaper that some of the things they are currently working on take a significant amount of time and require careful planning for the future.
