I’m one of those players who prefer to maintain social distance until the very last moment, and it seems like that’s the way to go now.
There’s a new message about friendly players showing signs of necrosis and hostility.
This is very early news from Activision, as they usually update this kind of information with “news releases” on Saturdays, although the zombies themselves transition to a new location on Thursdays, and we learn about the location on Tuesday evenings through content creators who receive a new package with merchandise.

Are we expecting something exciting this week?
