MATUMBAMAN will go to serve

Lasse MATUMBAMAN Urpalainen (former Dota 2 loser), who recently ended his Dota career after his last appearance for Team Secret at The International 2022. He’s already leaving for the army in January, he told Yle.

Lasse MATUMBAMAN Urpalainen: I’m on vacation at the moment and then I’ll go and defend our country in the Finnish army for a bit. I haven’t done service yet, so that’s where I think I will go in January. We’ll see what will happen.

He decided to end his career even before the main Dota 2 tournament. MATUMBAMAN has played on the professional Dota 2 scene since 2014, in 2017 he became the champion of The International with Team Liquid. During his career as a cyber athlete, Urpalainen earned a total of over $4.8 million.
