BetBoom Team Suffers a Shocking Defeat at the Major: Team Is in Danger in the Playoffs!

The organizers of The Bali Major 2023 for Dota 2 have made a decision that has stirred quite a controversy in the gaming community. In the first round of the winners’ bracket, BetBoom Team faced off against Tundra Esports, and it was during this match that an incident occurred, resulting in a technical defeat for BetBoom Team.

The reason behind this decision was a violation of the tournament rules by BetBoom Team’s player, Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko, who started streaming Alexander “Nix” Levin’s broadcast during a pause in the match.

As a consequence, BetBoom Team has been moved to the lower bracket of the playoffs and will compete against Azure Ray in a do-or-die match. The date and time of this encounter will be announced later. On the other hand, Tundra Esports has advanced to the tournament’s semifinals and is preparing to face Team Liquid.

The incident involving Pure took place on July 5th, and a controversial video emerged online, showing the player opening the stream. While it’s unclear whether the player gained any crucial information from the broadcast, watching streams during official matches is strictly prohibited by the tournament rules.
