The British Competition Authority Is Investigating Microsoft

The British antitrust authority has initiated an investigation into the acquisition of the gaming company “Activision | Blizzard” by “Microsoft.”

The regulator states that a decision regarding approval or prohibition of the deal will be made by September 1 of this year.

It is worth noting that simultaneously, the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is also reviewing the deal. If it is not approved by the FTC, then “Activision | Blizzard” will unfortunately not come under the ownership of “Microsoft.”
