Twitch Updates Policy: “Sexual Content” Now Permissible with Certain Restrictions

Main Changes in Twitch’s Policy

Twitch, the popular streaming platform, has made significant changes to its policy regarding sexual content. Key updates include:

• Defining Boundaries: Content that intentionally emphasizes breasts, buttocks, or pelvic area is now permissible.
• Art and Fictional Characters: Fully nude depictions of female breasts and/or genitalia or buttocks in art forms such as drawings, animations, or sculptures are allowed.
• Erotic Dances: Erotic dances including striptease and sexually suggestive movements are now allowed.

However, Twitch continues to prohibit depictions of fictional sexual acts and masturbation.

Changes in Homepage Recommendations

Content related to the following will no longer be included in Twitch’s homepage recommendations:

• Drugs and Intoxication
• Violence and Graphic Images
• Gambling
• Sexual Themes

Policy Regarding Games

Games where nudity, pornography, sex, or sexual violence are the main theme or feature are completely prohibited on Twitch. For games where nudity is not a key element, an adult content rating is sufficient.
