OverDrive: Recap and Forecast of BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023

G2 vs Navi – A logical victory for G2, who can aspire to a minor dominance in the first half of the season. This is due to the fact that Hooxi’s ideas are starting to work, and the brothers are trying to play as a cohesive CS team without a coach constantly interfering. There is only one remaining issue – Hooxi’s frag potential. Wins in top matches will partly depend on his frags, no matter how perfect everything else may be. There’s no catastrophe for Navi; they are adapting. Npl is getting used to the top level, and the players are slowly but surely finding their form. The Major will be a good opportunity to assess this lineup.

Nip vs BIG – Nip has superior individual skills. Regardless of how brilliant BIG may be in terms of grenades, combos, and setups, Nip outplayed them in micro-moments. Sometimes it’s a harsher headshot, and sometimes it’s a smarter move. Headtrick didn’t shine as brightly as in the previous game but was still valuable. It seems that Nip is embarking on a similar journey as G2. Substitutions are slowly transforming into quality play.

Predictions:

EG vs Heroic – I’m confident in the Danish revenge, but the odds are 1.1, so the bet doesn’t make sense. Even a 2-0 bet won’t yield much.

OG vs Liquid – this one is tougher, but it also looks like a revenge match. However, 🇪🇺OG should take a map, even though the odds are weak.

From a profit and discipline standpoint, I wouldn’t consider these matches – there are no obvious solutions. But considering that I’m in a confident plus and I’m betting for entertainment – I’ve still put together a small accumulator. Take a 2-0 for Heroic and one map from OG.
