World of Tanks update for June 9, 2023

Commanders!

One of the most exciting modes of World of Tanks returns with respawns, AI-controlled enemies called “Marauders”, and a host of other gameplay changes!

Steel Hunter: Reborn is an evolution of the usual battle royale format, in which trophies go to whoever stands last. We have simplified the rules and introduced new mechanics to make the game enjoyable for beginners and veterans alike!

How to access Steel Hunter: Reborn
In your Garage, click on the event banner in the lower right corner.
Select Steel Hunter: Reborn from the drop-down menu to the right of the “Battle!” button.

Respawns: Get a second chance to be the best!
Now every hunter has a second chance to get back into combat and avenge their earlier defeat! If your vehicle is destroyed in the first five minutes of combat, you can automatically revive in a safe place. You will keep your vehicle level, but you will lose all previously collected projectiles and combat abilities.

When playing in a platoon you will have two common respawns, and you can respawn next to your platoonmate for the first eight minutes of combat. This requires your brother-in-arms to stay out of combat for 10 seconds, after which you will land next to him.

Once you’ve spent your respawns, you can replenish them by collecting loot from Airdrop.

Respawns allow you to play more persistently and use bolder tactics – but only in the early stages of combat. Use this time to explore the battlefield and destroy all enemies nearby!

Marauders: Low-hanging fruit for true hunters
As you explore the map in search of Prey, be prepared to encounter Marauders, AI-driven foes that are fairly easy to defeat. Consider them a source of additional combat experience and loot. Marauders will be especially useful for upgrading your vehicle early in the battle.

Marauders come in three different types, and each will react differently to your appearance, as shown below:

Hares slip away as soon as they spot you.
Wolves try to do damage from a distance.
Bears guard their prey and will fight you to your last breath.
Progression and Reward System
The event progression is based on a system of easy daily quests available in the mode. Complete them to complete the Progression stages and earn useful in-game rewards, including steel seals, a special currency for the mode. Exchange the steel seals for unique customization items and show the world that you’re a true survivor!

You can also earn Battle Pass points by completing Steel Hunter missions.

The Vision System

The vision system in Steel Hunter: Reborn now works the same way as in Random Battles. To spot enemies, they must be within range of your radio detector or in your line of sight.

Matchmaking
It’s not always easy for new players to do well in the battle royale format, especially if they get into matches with experienced hunters. To give everyone an equal chance of success, Steel Hunter: Reborn matchmaking will strive to create single-player battles with opponents of equal combat effectiveness.

Rebalanced Special Vehicles.
Eight special vehicles with unique combat abilities will continue the hunt this year! All of them have been rebalanced and will be available from the first battle mode. The vehicles’ abilities have also been updated to make their individual play styles even more unique. During combat, you can improve each of the eight vehicles from level I to level VII.

Good hunting, commanders! Survive at all costs and earn all available rewards in the redesigned Steel Hunter mode!
