The Caldera map in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific covers 15 drop zones, according to a first look at the game’s new location posted Tuesday morning on the game’s official Twitter account.
The Caldera map, which is said to be about the same size as the previous Verdansk map, albeit slightly larger, will be available to Call of Duty: Vanguard owners on December 8. Players of the free-to-play game Warzone will be able to get it the next day. The new map will change the name of the battle royale to Warzone Pacific and will open the first season of the multiplayer game Vanguard.

The map released on Tuesday gives a better idea of the Caldera’s playable dimensions than the tactical map (sewn into the lining of a jacket, no less) unveiled in early November.
Call of Duty: Warzone is sending off Verdun with a limited-time event called “Verdun’s Last Hours,” starting Tuesday at 1 p.m. ET. Raven Software says that players will be able to “see what happens to Verdansk before Warzone plunges into darkness in preparation for the Caldera” and that it will be “a spectacular and fitting end to your time in Verdansk.”
In addition to the 15 drop zones, the Caldera will feature more than 200 attractions, from sandy beaches to a dormant stratovolcano, as well as mysterious ruins, a capital and a submarine base.
Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific will be fully integrated with the progression, items and equipment of all players. “Expect all your operators, business cards and more from Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare to remain in Warzone, as well as cross-progression and seasonal prestige,” said Raven.
