Dota 2 Update April 21, 2023: New map and the legendary Roshan

Dota 2 has been updated with patch 7.33, and one of the main changes is the new map, expanded by 40%, while keeping the same distance between lines. Valve completely redesigned Radiant and Dire forests, adding paired portals, lotus ponds, tormentors, keepers, gates, two new types of runes, new outposts and 12 neutral creep camps.

The center of the map has everything you need to win, but the increased space opens up new strategies and resource mining opportunities. Both forests have been redesigned, with changes to routes, farming, and viewpoint locations. Paired portals have been added to the map, Roshan’s lair has been moved from the river to two opposite corners, and when day and night change, Roshan passes through the portals.

Torturers, two mini-bosses, appear behind difficult lines at 20:00, have 1 health, 20 armor, magic resistance, and a 2500 damage barrier that regenerates by 100 every second, and give 250 gold for a kill. Roshan no longer drops Aghanim’s Shard after the second death, and drops Aghanim’s Scepter or Refresher Shard after the third and subsequent deaths, depending on which side was killed.

Roshan’s health gain per minute has been increased, starting armor has been increased from 20 to 30, and Roshan’s current lair is marked on the mini-map. Have fun playing on the new map with the Dota 2 update of April 21, 2023!
