Which perks are best to use in Warzone.

In this article, we will discuss the perks in Call of Duty: Warzone, as their effective use is one of the keys to a successful game. Warzone has revolutionized the Battle Royale genre with its new approach to respawning, in-game economy, and the use of custom loadouts. The latter has become an integral part of players’ success, as there are plenty of ways to accumulate money on the map and order your loadout quickly. While your weapons can be customized to match your playstyle, perks give you the opportunity to outpace your enemies.

Every time you invest $8,500 in purchasing a loadout, you equip yourself with three bonuses—so why not maximize the benefits of each of them? In this article, we will break down specific perks to help you decide which one best suits your playstyle.

First Slot:

1) Perk – Mass Murder

The special bonus of this Warzone perk increases your chances of finding killstreaks, which can ultimately be a significant advantage. Imagine being in a small circle, and the enemy team has the territorial advantage. You have no way to kill them, but then you remember that you recently found a cluster strike in a supply box. Without spending a penny, you can use an airstrike to gain the upper hand, all thanks to this Mass Murder perk. The only caveat is that you don’t know how much it increases your odds.

2) Perk – Scavenger

There’s nothing worse than going on an ammo hunt when you’re running low on everything. Navigating and avoiding shootouts is almost an impossible task when you’re in a lobby with 150 players. If only you had the ability to kill an enemy and replenish your ammo from their bodies… Then you wouldn’t have this problem.

Well, Scavenger allows you to do just that. Regardless of the type of ammo the enemy had, you can refill your supplies by approaching the slain enemy. If you constantly find yourself short on bullets, then this perk is for you.

3) Perk – Double Time

Perfect for close and medium-range combat, for those who use SMGs as their weapons. The ability to use tactical sprint twice as long is invaluable. Moreover, if you want to sneak up on enemies dominating elevated positions, the perk increases the speed at which you can move almost silently (crouched).

4) Perk – Quick Fix

One of the unique aspects of Warzone is the health regeneration system, which provides a smooth transition from traditional Call of Duty to the Battle Royale mode. While there are medical syringes scattered on the map, they take up a valuable tactical equipment slot. If you often find yourself wiping out entire enemy squads, Quick Fix can help you avoid death from a second or third enemy squad member who killed you simply because you already had reduced health.

5) Perk – Cold-Blooded

Have you ever been a target for an enemy UAV? Or have you been killed from a distance using a thermal scope? This perk puts an end to that, making you invisible to AI targeting systems (although a drone can still see you). If you use stealth equipment, this perk is a must. Moreover, the current Warzone meta revolves around players using thermal scopes and occupying high positions.

6) Perk – Engineer

Explosives (mines and C4) are an integral part of the current Warzone meta. If you don’t have the spotter perk (3rd slot) equipped, you’ll be opening every door blindly. So if an enemy squad has taken control of the building you’re trying to capture, most likely there are traps behind every door. Having the Engineer perk significantly reduces the impact of explosive devices, which can save your life in a critical situation.

Second Slot:

1) Perk – Lookout

An effective way to earn money in Warzone is through in-game objectives known as contracts. Essentially, after completing the assigned mission, you’ll receive experience, money, and loot. This perk provides a small cash bonus for each completed mission. Like with the Mass Murder perk, the bonus amount is not specified.

2) Perk – Restock

Proper use of tactical equipment significantly increases your chances of winning a firefight against an enemy squad. Whether it’s timely disorientation or using scanning grenades to gather information about enemy movement, this perk will replenish your tactical equipment within 50 seconds after use.

For example, throwing knives will be replenished with an additional knife, and decoy grenades and stimulators recharge twice as fast. So, if you tend to stick with one item throughout the game, this perk has its place.

3) Perk – Scrooge

Have you ever tried to buy an item but found that you were a few hundred dollars short? The Scrooge perk gives you a constant 25% discount on killstreaks, field upgrades, and armor plates. Since, for example, killstreaks are needed throughout the game, especially towards the end, its absence can be a deciding factor.

4) Perk – Awareness

With up to 149 other players in Warzone at any given time, and each of them trying to gain an advantage by any means, using this perk can help. When you use this perk, your screen will flash if enemies outside your field of vision detect you. Essentially, you’ll have a kind of “spider sense.”

5) Perk – Overkill

What could be better than having two primary weapons at your disposal? The ability to shoot down an enemy squad at any distance can be invaluable in certain areas of the map. That’s why some of the Warzone elite (current world record holders for most kills in one match) use this perk.

6) Perk – Ghost

If you’ve ever been suddenly ambushed by an enemy squad out of nowhere, there’s a chance they spotted you using a UAV, scanning grenades, or a heartbeat sensor, all of which you could have avoided. Most players use UAVs and/or heartbeat sensors in the final circle, so they can precisely locate those without this perk. Using Ghost makes you invisible to these tools and gives you a tremendous advantage.

7) “Tempered” Perk

This perk fundamentally changes the value of armor in Warzone. Under the effect of “Tempered,” an operator’s armor plates become heavier and more durable—now, only two plates are required to provide the necessary protection instead of three. In other words, “Tempered” allows each armor plate to absorb 75 points of damage instead of the standard 50, but the operator can only use two at a time. This unique innovation also deprives you of a second slot for a perk, so choose your perks wisely before fortifying your plates.

Third Slot:

1) Perk – Tune-Up

This perk allows players to switch their weapons faster (excluding pistols and knives), which complements the Overkill perk perfectly. It also increases the reload speed of launchers. Although using this perk sounds enticing, its practicality is limited in Warzone, where the threat usually outweighs your ability to pull out your sniper rifle or set a mine slightly faster.

2) Perk – Shrapnel

If you love using explosives, this perk is for you. With vehicles gradually becoming a new meta in Warzone, players need an easy way to destroy them. Shrapnel increases the damage from explosives, and if you’re using an RPG, you’ll have an additional projectile, the same applies to mines.

3) Perk – Resilience

In regular multiplayer games, stun grenades are scattered all over the map. But in Warzone, it’s a different story. Since heartbeat sensors and stimulators are considered essential tactical equipment, flashbangs and stun grenades are pushed out of the list. This means your chances of being affected by these effects are significantly reduced compared to multiplayer. Nevertheless, if you often find yourself blinded or stunned in the middle of a firefight, using the Resilience perk will greatly reduce the strength of these effects.

4) Perk – Awareness

Explosives play a significant role in Warzone. Whether it’s a well-placed claymore or C4, the ability to see enemy explosives and disarm them gives your team a tactical advantage before the battle begins.

Wouldn’t you go into a room full of explosives? This perk can essentially be common for your team as well because you can ping enemy explosives for your teammates by just looking at them.

5) Perk – Medic

If you often find yourself the last one alive in your squad or assigned as the medic, this perk is a must-have bonus. Medic allows you to get your teammates back into the fight 25% faster.

6) Perk – Tracker

Perhaps Tracker is the most potent perk of them all because it gives you a constant UAV. When selected, enemies leave behind tracks that glow red. So if there are enemies nearby, you’ll know about it.

7) “Combat Scout” Perk

With this perk, operators get more reconnaissance data because dealing damage to an enemy for a short time highlights them brightly in orange and automatically marks them. Whether distributing targets or detecting an enemy in a building behind penetrable cover, this perk becomes even more useful if the operator can interact effectively with allies.

So, in this article, all Warzone perks are listed in descending order. It’s essential to understand that all these perks will suit different playstyles.

If you’re an aggressive player, you can use Engineer, Overkill, and Tracker. If you prefer a more conservative playstyle, Cold-Blooded, Ghost, and Spotter may be suitable for you.
