Top 5 mistakes players make on the Mirage map.

Today, we’ll discuss the five main and most common mistakes that many players make on the Mirage map. Of course, it’s clear to everyone that Mirage is currently one of the most popular maps in our game. However, not all players are pros, not everyone plays well, and certainly not everyone knows everything. There have always been, are, and will be newcomers who need help learning and discovering various tricks.

Flashing mid. One of the most common mistakes made by most players on Mirage is that they either forget or don’t know that they should throw a flash in mid under their teammate’s window. The point is that this can and most likely will save their teammate’s life. First and foremost, you should play as a team; that’s how victories are achieved. No matter how skilled you are, you can’t carry everything on your own. Don’t forget!

Concentration on A for CT. This situation is quite common, especially at lower ranks. You’ve definitely encountered a situation on Mirage where the vast majority of players rush to point A, while others who go to B and watch mid are left alone. It’s advisable for the teammate watching A to be near the ladder. This is a good position because if the attack goes through mid, they can control the passage, and if the attack is through point A, they can return immediately. Remember that mid control is really important on the Mirage map.

Passive play on A for CT. It’s not always right to play tactically at point A for CT. This mistake is quite common at all ranks, especially at higher ones. The mistake is that on this map, teams often choose the 1-3-1 setup, which likely means that either you or only one of your teammates will be pushing A. When the enemy notices this, they often start playing more confidently because everything becomes clear. On the other hand, if you both push someplace together (e.g., palace), you will often catch the enemy off guard. But it’s best not to stick strictly to one tactic but to mix things up so that you don’t reveal your hand to the enemy early in the game.

Playing at B. In all ranks, many players often forget about point B. This happens because almost all the activity usually centers around point A. However, this doesn’t mean you should forget about B. Holding the defense at point B is a very important and cool skill. If you see that the enemy team is moving through B, grenades will help you in defense. It’s important to learn how to throw them correctly every time you defend B because this will allow you to deal significant damage to the enemy, buy some time, or even win the round for your team.

Terrorist smokes. I think you’ve noticed that almost all newcomers either very rarely or never use items like grenades. Most likely, you started the same way. It’s important to know which grenades work best not only on Mirage but also on other maps, and to combine them. If you learn these basics, you’ll notice that you’ll win a bit more and be more effective.
