PAYDAY 3 is a logical continuation of PAYDAY 2, which the gaming world will see approximately 10 years after the release of the second installment. As expected by the gaming community and according to information from Starbreeze Studios, gamers will be able to play PAYDAY 3 as early as 2023. However, the release may happen a little earlier, in 2022, depending on meeting deadlines and the emergence of new ideas that the creators want to implement in the game.
Currently, we only know that Starbreeze Studios has undergone restructuring, which has determined budgets for the next 4 days. The studio was expecting to finalize the agreement for the release of PAYDAY 3 in 2020, which was necessary for the game’s development. Starbreeze had previously stated that the game had been in development for many years.
In 2017, Starbreeze Studios CEO, Clint Bo Andersson, stated that he was “very pleased” as he could now officially announce the start of work on PAYDAY 3, and that his team had entered the stage of global redesign.
