British Developer Working on “Bayraktar” Game in Support of Ukraine, But Project Halted.

A British developer was working on a game to support Ukraine called “Bayraktar” but has halted the project. Instead, she plans to donate funds from another one of her games.

Sarah Jane Avery had started developing a pixel-art style game called “Bayraktar.” The gameplay seemed very straightforward – flying a drone and destroying enemy tanks. The goal was a noble one – to create a game and channel the proceeds towards helping Ukraine.

After releasing an early version on Twitter, Sarah asked her audience whether she should continue working on the project. She received mixed responses. Some felt that the game depicted violence and tragedy, so Sarah decided to put the game’s development on hold.

Later on, she shared this decision in another tweet but added that her intention to help Ukraine remained. Therefore, she will contribute the funds to support another one of her games – Snow Force (C64).
