Jackie Chan celebrated his 70th birthday by revealing archival photos
Jackie Chan, international celebrity actor and stuntman, celebrated his anniversary on April 7, reaching the milestone of turning 70. In honor of the milestone, he shared a series of archival photos with fans via social media, accompanying them with a personal message.
“Jackie Chan is 70!” – my friends reminded me. With every mention of that great number, I was lost for a moment in thought – am I that old? Am I really 70?” – Chan candidly says. Sammo Hung, his older brother, always reminds him, “Age is a privilege.” This is especially meaningful for stuntmen who are fortunate enough to face aging.
In anticipation of his birthday, Jackie’s staff conducted an audit of his extensive photo archive, selecting a few special shots for publication. “These images evoke fond memories. I can only say one thing – I adore movies and you, my viewers,” the actor shared.
The celebrity expressed gratitude for the numerous congratulations and wished everyone happiness and health.
Among the many congratulations stands out a message from Will Smith, who recalled the time spent together during the filming of the movie “Karate Kid” in Beijing. The experience made a lasting impression on Smith’s family. “Wishing you love and tons of new experiences in the coming year,” Smith wrote.
In recent news, The Hollywood Reporter has announced the start of filming on the sequel to “The Karate Kid,” where Jackie Chan will have the company of Ben Wang this time around.
