New Battle Royale in Cold War.
Let’s talk about the juggernaut in the room—Activision’s Battle Royale mode. With its meteoric rise on the global stage, it’s clear that the devs are pulling out all the stops. The objective? Keep gamers hooked with fresh mechanics and unforgettable experiences.
A New Mode Resembling Battle Royale in Cold War
We’ve got the scoop! Fire Team and Outrage maps were initially slated to merge into one massive Blackout 2 map. However, Warzone threw a wrench in those plans. Instead of scrapping the concepts, the devs have decided to repurpose them. Enter a new mode: You’ll land on one of these maps, scavenge for loot (think weapons, armor, and respawn tickets), and aim to be the last team standing. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
Here’s the kicker: This new mode all but confirms that these maps won’t be making their way to Warzone.
Sure, they’re not officially labeling it a Battle Royale mode, but let’s call a spade a spade. This mode is Battle Royale through and through.
