If you don’t want to go into Zombies mode, there’s still a very simple way. Earn a Scorestreak Care Package, and one of the ones you earn will eventually be the one you want. You can’t miss it; it’s orange.

Among the new skins and maps are numerous spooky challenges, one of which tasks players with opening a “Fear Package” in Multiplayer or Zombies mode.

How to Open Fear Packages in Multiplayer

Fear Packages are reimagined versions of regular Care Packages, called in as Scorestreaks. You can spot them thanks to their orange color and Halloween music playing when helicopters drop them.

Finding Fear Packages in Multiplayer is likely a bit harder, as the developers have made it a game of chance.

There’s also the issue that other players might swoop in and steal your Fear Package after it drops, so make sure you’re in a safe place when you call it in.

How to Open Fear Packages in Zombies

To open Fear Packages in the Zombies mode, instead of players calling them in, they will appear in random locations on the map every five rounds.

Here, it’s much simpler because you won’t have to compete with other players, only hordes of AI zombies.

Unfortunately, they don’t show up on the mini-map, but their bright orange color should make them easy to spot.

We recommend leaving at least one zombie alive at the end of the round so you can freely explore the map without fear of being eaten alive.
