Call of Duty: Black Ops Celebrates 11 Years.

The game is the seventh installment in the Call of Duty series and indirectly serves as a sequel to Call of Duty: World at War. The project was officially announced on April 30 and released on November 9, 2010, for personal computers and seventh-generation home consoles.

On the very first day of sales, more than 5,000,000 copies of the game were sold. Consequently, it became the most successful game in the history of the gaming industry, setting a new global record for daily sales and surpassing the previous leader—Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
