M16 remains a dominant choice in Warzone

The M16 continues to hold its metagame position, especially in the wake of the AUG nerfs, making it the top burst weapon. It ranks third in overall weapon usage in player loadouts. It’s worth noting that the M16 has a more pleasant recoil compared to the AUG, and it hasn’t seen significant changes.

The M16 assault rifle has a strong potential to eliminate enemies in just two to three bursts, indicating its very high time-to-kill (TTK). Unless Raven makes significant balance changes, the M16 will remain a meta weapon for some time. This guide will cover the best attachments for the M16 and how to use them effectively in Warzone.

Main M16 Loadout (Warzone)

Most loadouts don’t differ significantly from standard Cold War weapons. In this case, it’s crucial to equip a suppressor/agency suppressor and an agent grip. The M16 performs well at medium and long distances and excels in its class in terms of stats.

• Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
• Barrel: 15.9″ Strike Team
• Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
• Magazine: 45 Rnd
• Optic: Axial Arms 3x

Why These Attachments for the M16?

• Agency Suppressor: This suppressor significantly reduces noise, extends shooting range, and increases bullet velocity. Since the M16 is used as a primary weapon, long-range shooting is essential for its effectiveness.
• Field Agent Grip: Helps to control weapon recoil. While the M16 doesn’t have heavy recoil to begin with, reducing vertical recoil improves accuracy while aiming.
• 15.9″ Strike Team Barrel: This barrel provides an excellent balance between damage and fire rate. While it slightly decreases damage, the increased fire rate results in a strong TTK. The improved fire rate offsets the minor aiming penalties. The Titan Barrel is an alternative option, but the Strike Team barrel is generally better due to its fire rate bonus.
• 45 Rnd Magazine: A larger magazine size is better, and this one doesn’t affect bullet velocity, allowing for better performance. We do not recommend using a 30-round magazine as it might not be enough to handle even a trio.
• Axial Arms 3x Optic: This new Cold War optic allows for closer viewing than the 4x. It makes medium to long-distance engagements more comfortable. Use the Precision reticle for better target visibility and comfort.
