Activision is planning to host several official tournaments for Call of Duty: Warzone under the name ‘World Series of Warzone.’ There will be a total of four tournaments, with one of them offering a prize pool of $300,000.
From the latest updates, it’s clear that the tournaments will take place in Europe and North America. Two tournaments will be specifically for duos, while the other two will be for trios. All tournaments will be held in custom lobbies, consisting of six games where players must accumulate as many points as possible through kills and placement in matches.
80% of the tournament participants will receive invitations from Activision. Additionally, 12 teams from the Call of Duty League may secure spots in the tournaments. There will also be open qualifiers, with the winner earning a spot in the World Series of Warzone. The first qualifiers are set to begin on May 24th. The trio tournament itself will take place on June 23, 2021. More details about the remaining dates will be announced later.
