Faceit will not pay prize money to players from Russia

FACEIT (a cybersports platform) will now not pay Russian players if they take prizes in tournaments. These decisions were taken by the organization because of the sanctions against SWIFT-payments, because that is how they conduct transactions.

So, if a Russian player takes the top place in a tournament, then his winnings will be sent to those who are lower on the line in the table. Now they say that this is a temporary solution.

More recently, FACEIT and GUCCI during the live broadcast before the grand final PGL Major Antwerp 2022 announced the launch of Gucci Gaming Academy.
