Epic Games Unlocks One of the Well-Known Fortnite Map Creators

Epic Games recently unblocked a map creator and a Fortnite player, although the public did not support this initiative.

Earlier, some modifications by this author were removed by the game developers. Additionally, a creator-code for in-game purchases was blocked. The company’s actions were triggered by the author’s remarks that deeply offended many. He shared his thoughts on Twitter.

To elaborate, on July 20th, an event supporting the LGBTQ+ community was introduced in the game. The event featured various skins and music from LGBTQ+ artists. The author responded negatively to this initiative, stating it goes against nature. As a result, he was promptly blocked.

After facing public backlash and the subsequent account suspension, the author posted an apology. In his message, he emphasized that he had no intention to offend anyone. He clarified that he merely wanted to express his opinion but now understands the harm caused to the community and apologizes. He also mentioned his religious beliefs contradict the LGBTQ+ concept but pledged to be more tolerant in the future and continue his career.

“I apologize to everyone for my comments about Rainbow Royale and the LGBTQ+ community. I didn’t mean to offend anyone; I just shared my views on the event. I realize it’s hurtful to the community and regret causing you pain. My religious upbringing conflicts with this, but I’ll strive to do better and continue my career. I have much to learn and amend. I hope you’ll give me a second chance, as is customary for all,” AwA pleaded.

After some time, the company unblocked the author and restored his game privileges. However, some community members disagreed with this decision, expecting a different course of action from the company.

Such statements on social media often lead to similar consequences. Particularly, intolerant posts regarding the LGBTQ+ community can be perceived very negatively.
