A guy from Chisinau discovered the joy of video games and live streaming from a young age. He was fairly good at popular esports disciplines like CS:GO and Dota 2, but he didn’t have any significant achievements in that field.

It was only with the emergence of TikTok and the well-known Dani Milokhin that nekoglai decided to explore this new platform. Adopting an aggressive behavior style and an unusual approach, Nikolay gradually started gaining followers with dance video clips. As of the beginning of 2021, nekoglai’s TikTok account had more than 1 million subscribers!

2021 was a breakthrough year for the young blogger, as he managed to secure a place among the top Russian-speaking TikTokers. A reaction video to Egor Kreed’s banana-cutting clip, for example, garnered a huge audience, accumulating over 5 million views in total. In reality, Nikolay started streaming even earlier, but it was only due to his popularity on TikTok that he managed to gain subscribers on Twitch, which is atypical for the online community. There, he continued to pursue his passion, showcasing his skills in CS:GO and Dota 2, garnering over 700 viewers, which was an order of magnitude higher than a few years earlier. Of course, another popular TikToker from the country, Ivan Zolo, helped him with this. A single stream with the meme situation “stopapupa,” which became an infotainment topic for practically the entire TikTok for the next several months, was worth mentioning. After that, nekoglai’s total Twitch audience grew to 100,000 viewers. After some time, together with other popular bloggers, Nikolay managed to break the record for the Russian-speaking stream, gathering more than 120,000 viewers. Another incentive for his development came after another stream with Ivan Zolo, who announced a temporary cessation of his activities due to threats. During the live broadcast, the guys discussed the situation, gathering 261,000 viewers. It didn’t go without a hitch – Ivan’s parents decided to accuse nekoglai of having a negative influence on their son, which became known after the publication of the correspondence between Ivan’s father and Nikolay. There was some tension between the guys, but in 2022, they announced that they would be collaborating again. As a result, 520,000 viewers and an absolutely unattainable record for the Russian-speaking segment!

Nekoglai’s future prospects remain just as bright, as he continues to maintain his popularity through new video and streaming formats. Furthermore, he is not hesitant to collaborate with other popular personalities, creating hype news stories for news outlets and TikTokers. For now, Nikolay rightfully enjoys the title of the most popular streamer not only in the CIS but also in the whole world!
