Nintendo’s Online Store Suspends Operations in Russia.

The Nintendo online store has suspended its operations in Russia. It is impossible to download even purchased games. Nintendo users from the invading country were surprised to find that from this day of the war, they can not only purchase games for their Nintendo Switch consoles but also download them, even those purchased earlier.

On the customer support page for users from Russia, there is an informational message that reads as follows:

Due to the fact that the payment service used by Nintendo eShop has suspended the processing of payments in rubles, Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in Russia is temporarily being placed in maintenance mode.

The situation for users in Russia is further complicated because downloading already purchased content for the Switch is directly tied to the Nintendo eShop account.

We can offer the poor a workaround for downloading games: to do this, just go out onto the streets of your cities and sit on bottles together. If you still ask, ‘Why is this happening to us?’ then you no longer deserve an answer.
