Hogwarts Legacy wants to ban in Russia. Reasons
The fantasy action-RPG “Hogwarts Legacy” is causing a social justice backlash in a number of countries, including Russia. Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project, asked the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office to ban “Hogwarts Legacy” in Russia. Although the game is not officially available for the Russian market, there are already ways to run it.
One of the reasons for the ban is the presence of a transgender character, Cyrone Ryan, the owner of the Three Broomsticks pub in Hogsmeade, who is a former male. Public figures have also criticized the character editor because of the ability to “experiment with gender identities,” which they believe could cause teenagers to want to change genders.
