Red Dead Online fans organize virtual funeral in protest

The Red Dead Online player community recently organized a unique campaign called #RedDeadFuneral. It was a sort of “funeral” for a game that players felt had been abandoned by Rockstar Games.

As part of this campaign, players visited virtual cemeteries and churches in the game dressed in mourning costumes. They came together to pay their respects to their favorite game, which they felt was “dead” due to the lack of major updates over the past year.

This event caused a great resonance in social networks, where players are actively discussing the situation with Red Dead Online. They post screenshots of their characters in graveyards and churches, as well as share their thoughts and feelings about the current state of the game.

It’s worth noting that Red Dead Online was launched just three years ago, and many players expected Rockstar Games to actively support and develop this project like they do with Grand Theft Auto Online. However, according to fans, the developer has not lived up to their expectations.

In light of these events, many players started comparing Red Dead Online to other games that were also “abandoned” by their developers. One such example is Team Fortress 2, a game that hasn’t received significant updates in years.

In any case, despite all the problems, Red Dead Online continues to be a popular game among fans of the Western genre. Many of them continue to hope that Rockstar Games will turn its attention back to this project and provide players with the new content they’ve been waiting for.”
