A fight broke out on stage, initiated by a group of rowdy fans, which led to an unforeseen pause in the game and the destruction of the trophy for the winners.
Events unfolded in front of a surprised crowd when a group of troublemakers broke out of the venue during the tense confrontation between G2 Esports and MOUZ. The attempt of the security guards to neutralize one of the intruders resulted in an accident: the pedestal with the cup was knocked down, and the award broke into pieces, one of them hitting the head of one of the intruders. Fortunately, serious injuries were avoided.
Such an invasion caused a temporary halt to the match, requiring an emergency evacuation of the participants for their safety. Thirty minutes later, after all perpetrators were apprehended, play was resumed and the G2 Esports team emerged victorious in the 1/4 finals.
Subsequently, it turned out that one of the bookmaker’s offices was behind the riots. Its management admitted its guilt in organizing the chaos, which raised many questions about the safety and integrity of sports competitions.
Additionally, it is worth noting that in the world of Counter-Strike 2 recently appeared a new map with amazingly realistic graphics, which requires high-performance hardware for its launch, which was a pleasant surprise for fans of the game.
Thus, this championship will remain in history not only with spectacular battles on the screens, but also with the sudden challenges that all participants had to overcome.
