Studio CD Projekt RED does not change its tactics and continues to promote Cyberpunk 2077 with the help of well-known actors. The appearance of Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand brought a lot of attention to the game. Now Idris Elba has joined the company in the Phantom Liberty expansion.
At the TGA 2022 awards, CD Projekt RED presented a new trailer for the Phantom Liberty add-on to Cyberpunk 2077. The video shows a collage of frames showing various locations of the game, from a bar to underground tunnels. The expansion will include new quests, stories, and places to explore.
In parallel, Johnny Silverhand is talking to a strange woman: “How many times do you need to be betrayed so that you stop trusting him? How much can you fear for yourself when people feed you false promises? Politicians, combat netrunners, secret agents… All this rot has gathered in Dog City. I hope you have a plan.”
The woman replies that she knows a specific person who can be trusted. Then Idris Elba appears in the trailer as Solomon Reed, an agent for the FUE of the New United States of America. He looks like a real professional who can complete any task.
Supplement Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will expand the plot to the finale of the main game. In it, the player will play the role of V, who will serve the New United States of America and perform tasks for the state.
The add-on will add another area to the game where the story will develop. Also, Keanu Reeves will return as Johnny Silverhand, as the events take place before the end of the main game.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will release in 2023 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and Series S. Previous generation consoles will not be supported.
