Today, October 12, 2021 marks the first day of The International 10 Championship Anniversary Series. I’d like to point out that this is the first time ever that the ceremony is being recorded and not shown live.

All spectators can watch a video broadcast featuring musicians Darude, Lindsey Stirling and JJ Lin on the history of The International. I would like to point out that there was an Aegis of Champions broadcast from the first IT to the last.

In addition to this recording began with Gabe Newell recording the opening line, he did not personally attend the event due to the coronavirus situation in the world.

What Gabe Newell said in the ceremony:

Welcome to The International. It’s been a long time coming, and we can finally have this tournament. I’m excited to see the best teams come together to bring out the strongest. On behalf of the whole Valve team, I thank the government and the citizens of Romania for helping make this tournament happen. Let’s watch DOTA!
