Gardening in Genshin Impact 2.0.

In 2020, the Chinese company miHoYo Limited delighted fans of the Action/RPG genre with a new single-player adventure called Genshin Impact, where the hero finds themselves in another world in search of a missing loved one.

In July 2021, the developers pleased gamers with another update: the ability to grow plants that were previously only collectible in the open world.

The “Horticulture” option becomes available after completing a simple quest called “The Art of Horticulture,” which is accessible after reaching Reputation Level 3 in the game’s third region – Inazuma. The quest involves finding one of the local saplings. As a reward for successfully completing the “Art of Horticulture” quest, the character receives a full seed chest that is used as equipment. When equipped, the character gains the additional ability to gather seeds simultaneously while harvesting plants.

Collecting planting materials is not the only way to obtain planting materials. Seeds can also be purchased freely. To do this, you need to go to the “Creature of the Realm” tab, located in the Realm Treasury. To open the shop, you simply need to negotiate with the local merchant.

In the “Realm Treasures” tab, you can also purchase a land plot where saplings will be grown. There are three types of saplings in the game. Each land plot is used for separate types of plants. The fields are named Neat Meadow, Jade Field, and Fertile Soil. Each one is divided into 4 zones, and you can only plant 1 sapling on one plot, so their usage should be rational.

When a player interacts with a field, a hint appears about the possibility of growing a specific type of plant on that bed, as well as its current status. The sapling’s maturation process can take up to 2 days and 21 hours, so patience will be required.

If necessary, you can clear a previously sown plot before the plants mature. To do this, the player needs to interact with the field. However, it’s important to remember that seeds won’t be returned to the character. If a sapling is planted accidentally, you can remove it by pressing the F button in the navigation near the planting location, but only one plant will disappear.

Harvesting can only be done manually by interacting with the field.

In addition to the aesthetic visual customization of the character’s inner world, the “Horticulture” feature offers several advantages to the player.

It allows the hero to gather resources and unique items, albeit not quickly. It would be strategically wise to plan your planting in advance, determining which plants are needed first.

The main function of “Horticulture” is to contribute to the character’s development, especially with plants like Calla Lilies, Naku Weed, Luminous Herb, and Windwheel Aster.

Rare ingredients that are difficult to find but are part of recipes for dishes can also be grown on your own plot.

Collect seeds, create your own farm, and prepare your hero for new adventures.
