Guide for the event “World Beyond the Canvas” in Genshin Impact 2.6
In Genshin Impact, new updates, quests, events, and activities are frequently released. Update 2.6 introduced a new quest called “World Beyond the Canvas.” In this article, we will explain how to complete it and earn rewards.
What is the “World Beyond the Canvas” Event?
In this event, you not only battle powerful monsters but also search for various treasures. The illustrator Asagiri assigns tasks to take several snapshots to help her find new inspiration for her paintings.
Every day, players receive two photo assignments, and to complete them, you need to meet specific conditions.
After selecting a snapshot, a new location will appear on the map where you need to take the photo. You should have no trouble with this. There will be a total of 14 tasks (two photo assignments per day for a week).
How to Access and Start the Event
The event started on April 1, 2022, and will be available until April 11.
You can start the event if you have:
- – Completed the quest “Escape from Ritou” from the Archon Quest “The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia”;
- – Reached Adventure Rank 30 in the game;
- – Fully completed the quest “Whispers of the Crane and the White Rabbit” (to obtain the camera).
Asagiri is waiting for you in Inazuma. Once you receive the tasks, you can open the main event menu and then select which snapshot you want to take and head to the designated location.
How to Take the First Photo, “Legend of the Wind Knight”
To complete this task, you need to find the Favonius Cathedral, which is located in Mondstadt. There are three required points for the task, where the character needs to look into the camera and complete the Anemo quest to obtain the Anemo ability.
Once the target marker is activated, you should head to the designated points on the map and fulfill all the task conditions to take a good snapshot. It won’t matter which character is in the photo; you can use any Anemo character.
How to Take the Second Photo, “Legend of the Wind Knight”
Asagiri wants to create an epic battle scene, so you need to find the Knights of Favonius. You should do this in the Windwail Valley (near Mondstadt), the area with a massive tree – that’s what you’re looking for.
You need to be in two different locations to take the photo. Your character must be from the Knights of Favonius and positioned under the canopy. The photo should be taken between 8 AM and 12 PM, so you’ll need to use the in-game timer to capture the shot in time.
You can use characters like Jean, Kaeya, Albedo, Eula, Amber, Noelle, Lisa, Sucrose, or Klee for this task.
How to Take the Third Photo, “Village Inn Vanquisher”
You can quickly complete the third photo task at the “Village Inn Vanquisher.” It is located in the Guili Plains in the Liyue region. The photo is considered successful if your character is looking at the camera, and the photo is taken between 11 AM and 12 PM or between 6 PM and 12 AM.
How to Take the Fourth Photo, “Conspiracy beneath the Dragon-Back”
The photo is taken in the Guili Plains in the Liyue region, where you need to find the specific point. For a successful shot, take the photo between 11 AM and 2 PM. Your character should be facing the mountain with their back to the camera.
Rewards for the “World Beyond the Canvas” Event
Each time you complete a photo, you will receive the same rewards:
- Stones of Remembrance (30);
- Mora (20,000);
- Hero’s Wit (2).
